As a gay man, I find it disheartening that there is still a lack of representation for our community in mainstream media. This is particularly true when it comes to popular franchises like Five Nights at Freddy's (FNAF). The inclusion of a gay love scene featuring well-known figures such as Josh Hutcherson and Markiplier would not only be groundbreaking but also provide much-needed visibility for the LGBTQ+ community.

Despite significant progress over the years, studies show that LGBTQ+ characters still make up less than 10% of characters on primetime television (GLAAD, 2020). In film, this number is even lower. This underrepresentation sends a message to viewers - especially young ones - that being gay is abnormal or unusual.

By including this scene in the upcoming FNAF movie, we can challenge these harmful stereotypes and promote acceptance and understanding. It's time for us to see our stories told on screen without fear or shame.
