Include a Choir in Kendrick Lamar's 2025 Super Bowl Performance

Include a Choir in Kendrick Lamar's 2025 Super Bowl Performance
The Issue
We as fans, believe the upcoming Super Bowl performance, set to be performed by Kendrick Lamar, will be an amazing set to offer to America, but we believe there will be one key missing to this set. A Live Sunday Service Choir, a Church Choir into the opening parts of Kendrick Lamar's set at the Super Bowl scheduled for February 2025. Just imagine the riveting sight and sound of a Sunday Service Choir enhancing the intensity of the performance and taking it beyond its limits.
A YouTube video was posted by user Steve Epting tited "What If Kendrick Lamar Had A Live Choir At The Super Bowl?", where he would showcase how it would sound with his own personal choir. This video has gained over 660K hearts in just a mere 8 days, who also preach about the positives of a live choir with Duckworth's performance. One user commented "The way I ascended from my chair and started levitating". Another user would comment "I've been waiting for someone to a Black choir and do covers of the Hip-Hop and R&B greats. The choir of singing voices is where Black American music started, from field chants to Negro spirituals during slavery to the Black church, and it's what made Black American music so great, and I wish more secular Black artists would incorporate a choir into their music". Another user commented similarly, stating "An assembled Black choir at the Super Bowl is what we've been missing out on, this performance here really shows❤️❤️". It's clear to have been brought to many eyes of the positives cultural effects for the Black community and for the sound of the Music. Kendrick Lamar has always been one to showcase this.
The addition of a choir not only amplifies the live performance aspect but has also historically led to memorable performances. An example is the iconic Live Aid performance by Queen in 1985, where the crowd became their "choir", creating a revolutionary, unforgettable concert experience that is still talked about today.
As the Super Bowl is one of the most-watched televised events of the year, with an estimated viewership of over 91.6 million people in 2021 (Nielsen ratings), the inclusion of a choir could resonate with the audience on a grander scale, bridging the gap between varied fan bases - music and sports - in a more unique manner.
Therefore, with conviction in the need for a musical revolution, we request the organizing committees to reassess their approach and consider the inclusion of a choir for Kendrick Lamar's performance set. Let's push the boundaries of expectation for the Super Bowl. Please, sign this petition and make your voice heard! Together, we can redefine the essence of Super Bowl entertainment.
