Hi friends,

Much has happened since I last updated … first and foremost, I connected with Mark Baker of the Soft Lights Foundation (softlights.org), who has been deeply negatively affected by LED lights and has shared many stories of people who are suffering under these lights, which in some cases can even induce epileptic seizures.  Most recently, Mark has written an appeal to the DOE’s final rule on energy conservation standards for general service bulbs (including incandescent), which would register the standards null and void, as they are based on a false premise that LED lights are an equivalent light source to incandescent.

In other news, I’ve been trying to get the attention of Joe Rogan and Bret Weinstein, so that this petition can be featured on their shows, website and social media to millions of people in the USA.  Bret covered the issue of near-infrared (NIR) light in his Darkhorse episode 126 (of which incandescents are a main source indoors, and the sun is the main source outdoors).  He says that modern people, spending an estimated 7% of time outside as compared to nearly 100% in the past, are not being exposed to NIR as much as in days past, and delved into what the effects are (which include effects on bodily functions such as circadian rhythm and sleep-wake cycle, the type of melatonin produced in the body, and cellular regeneration).

I’ve also been reaching out to Virginia reps, and plan to visit their offices in DC, equipped with my list of signatures and more info on incandescent vs LED light, as well as props to do a demo (travel lamp, incandescent bulb, and LED bulb… problem is, I don’t have any LEDs! ). First on my list is Gerry Connolly, 11th District House representative and on the Oversight and Government Reform committee.

Wishing you all a great week, and as always, thank you for your support.

Anne
