The Issue

In-N-Out would sell every burger they could bring to Northwest Arkansas. From the classic Double Double to the Animal Style fries (and maybe even the best kept secret, Flying Dutchman) these patties would sell themselves. The Fayetteville/Bentonville area is growing rapidly with young professionals, families, retirees, as well as small and large businesses. With over 500,000 people living in NWA, many of whom moved from a city with an In-N-Out Burger, this is a perfect place for a new cluster of stores.

NWA is a flourishing, up and coming metropolitan area - one of the fastest growing in the United States according to the US Census Bureau, and with good reason. Northwest Arkansas also ranked no. 4 on US News & World Report’s list of best places to live in 2021. The addition of In-N-Out restaurants would be a welcome enhancement to the desirability and economy of this community. NWA already boasts attractions like Topgolf, Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, and all the A-List musicians who perform at The Amp. Beloved brands make for powerful amenities which attract top talent, and thus add a more diverse and capable pool for businesses to pull from. Whether it be major corporations like Walmart, Tyson, and J.B. Hunt, or the many small-medium businesses here, everyone wants more quality people in the workforce.

Logistics are already ideal since Northwest Arkansas is only a five hour drive from In-N-Out’s Dallas distribution center. NWA could easily support 5+ locations across Bentonville, Fayetteville, Rogers and Springdale areas, all of which are easily within a day’s drive of the Dallas DC. While today’s population can easily support several In-N-Out Burger locations, tomorrow’s population makes NWA an even better investment opportunity for the company. The Northwest Arkansas Metro Statistical Area is projected to be over 1 million people by 2045. In-N-Out Burger could easily double or even triple their footprint in the area by that time, making Arkansas the next best place for the burger master’s eastward expansion.
