Success! The SLOCOG Board voted this week to stop unsafe left hand turns at El Campo and three other crossings in the area. Jordan would be proud of us today. We love you Jordan.

I told the Board and Caltrans that they also needed a safe acceleration lane with guardrails for right-hand turns that will still be allowed. They discussed it and asked Caltrans to consider it.

I also argued for moving more quickly into designing an overpass and plan to keep working to help the community get that done. Many in the community stepped forward to support us subordinating their desire for an overpass to putting public safety first. In gratitude to them and all our local supporters we have committed to working with them until their goal of an overpass is achieved.

Finally, thank you Change.org as it all started here less than 6 months ago, days after Jordan died, when we knew we had to do this for him and turned to Change.org to start. Thank you to all signers and those that contributed to Change.org to support them in making this platform possible.
