Youth in Texas are on expanded waitlist for mental health treatment. The overall wellbeing of adolescents is declining due to restrictive policies and regulations preventing access to care. Suicide rates in youth are drastically increasing and the physical and emotional health are declining due to the lack of adequate mental health services and support. 

If we as a whole do not stand up to make a change for our youth in society, then their futures are at stake. We have to provide a platform of mental health services for adolescents to utilize. 

A legislative policy is needed to ensure current and ongoing mental health care needs within the youth in our society.
