Filtered keywords are a helpful tool on TikTok to help better accommodate multiple groups of people: It is a feature that lets the user choose a list of words they do not want to see in the videos they consume. It helps by shielding vulnerable individuals and letting people decide about what media they want to consume alike. It can also be helpful for parents to let their children use TikTok safely.
However their current use that only applies to captions and sticker text of videos isn’t enough. 
An important part of the content on tiktok is in audio from and in the comment section of posts.
This content not being a part of the content filtered by filtered keywords make tiktok less accessible and can truly influence vulnerable individuals’ mental health for the worst.
this petition aims to make comment section and audio in videos a part of the content that is filtered by the filtered keywords feature.

comment section filtering could be implemented easily while filtering the audio could use the already present automatic subtitling to know which words are spoken and filter them.

additional issues to be resolved with this feature if dialogue is archived include:

the limitation of only 100 filtered keyword while understandable is not enough; the user should at least have an option to buy more words for people that really need it. (A personal suggestion would be to be able to buy additional folders of 100 words as it would also allow to have divisions between several different lists of filtered keywords.)

It would be useful to add an option to filter words even when they are within or next to another word. For example if I wish to filter the word “kill” it won’t be filtered if it is in the word “killer”. to reduce the amount of words that need to be added it would be good to add an option to filter the word even if it isn’t between two spaces. more problematic though is that if there is punctuation next to a word it won’t filter either  (ex: kill! ; kill” ), it is simply unrealistic to expect someone to manually add all of the versions of a word with all of the different punctuation especially with such a limited word capacity, making it so that punctuation does not affect word filtering would be a much needed change

The filtering does not work when viewing someone's profile which is quite problematic
