Thank you to everyone who has signed and shared this petition  we’ve officially reached 100 signatures, and the support continues to grow.

Since starting this petition, concerns about winter road and sidewalk conditions around St. Paul Catholic Elementary School and Lakefield District Public School have been formally raised with Selwyn Township staff, councillors, and the Mayor. The Township has acknowledged the issue and indicated it is under review.

Our request remains simple and reasonable:

that Selwyn Township formally prioritize school zones for winter maintenance, similar to many other Ontario municipalities that recognize these areas as high-risk during peak school hours

This petition is not about blaming road crews  it’s about advocating for a clear, consistent policy that puts children’s safety first.
