Hello Supporters,

 Our laws protecting animals may still be weak, but ALDF, their team, your signatures, our voices, hard work & persistence have proven that change can be made. This may only be a small step forward, but it is a step forward nonetheless. 

ALDF felt that settling was the best outcome for some of the animals at Olympic Game Farm. Unfortunately, most of the information from the settlement is confidential, but here is what was sent to me:

Animal Legal Defense Fund and Olympic Game Farm Agree to Settle Litigation

Animal Legal Defense Fund and Olympic Game Farm have resolved a longstanding lawsuit pending in the United States District Court for the Western District of Washington. In the lawsuit, Animal Legal Defense Fund alleged that Olympic Game Farm was keeping animals in conditions that violate the Endangered Species Act. Olympic Game Farm denied those allegations and maintained that it has complied with, and continues to comply with, the Endangered Species Act and other applicable laws. Trial was scheduled for October 2024, nearly six years after the lawsuit was filed. The parties agreed that settlement would be in the best interest for the animals at Olympic Game Farm going forward rather than continued litigation. The parties agreed to additional housing, animal husbandry, and veterinary care practices.

This solution isn't exactly what we were aiming for. We wish we could've retired all the animals in OGF to legitimate & caring sanctuaries to live out the rest of their lives in peace, most importantly, free from exploitation, but we shouldn't give up on them or any animal in similar situations.

Remember...YOU are the change! YOU can stop supporting roadside zoos, rodeos, circuses, or any other venue/person(s) that exploit, abuse &/or neglect animals for their benefit! YOU can raise awareness so that others follow suit! YOU have the power to use your voices for those who cannot! 

Exploiters & abusers cannot be successful without OUR support, so BE THE CHANGE!

I will not give up on the animals at Olympic Game Farm. I will continue to raise awareness & hope, at the very least, the improvements agreed in the settlement are followed through. 

I hope to live to see the day when all our intelligent & sentient non-human beings & their habitats are protected from human destruction & abuse!
