For years, the City of Henderson and the Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) have promoted the Reimagine Boulder Highway project as a safer, more accessible corridor. While we all support safer roads, many residents, commuters, and business owners believe the current implementation is creating serious unintended consequences, including increased congestion, difficult access to businesses, longer commute times, and financial hardship for local establishments.

Construction is expected to continue through 2027, and the project includes reducing general-purpose lanes, adding Bus Rapid Transit lanes, and redesigning intersections.

We are asking the City of Henderson, RTC, and project leaders to:

Conduct an independent review of the project's real-world traffic impacts.
Hold additional public town halls where residents and business owners can voice concerns.
Improve traffic signal timing and construction phasing to reduce unnecessary congestion.
Work directly with affected businesses to improve customer access and provide mitigation where appropriate.
Publicly release updated traffic and economic impact data so the community can evaluate whether the project is meeting its stated goals.
This petition is not opposed to improving safety. We are asking our elected officials to listen to the people who live, work, and drive on Boulder Highway every day and make reasonable adjustments before permanent decisions are finalized.
