Reach out to the board of health.

Things appeared promising last year with the service company; however, I received a distressing image from the high school depicting mold-infested food. I've observed a decline in quality again. It appears that improvement occurs when we voice our concerns, but it regresses when we stay silent. Additionally, there are reports on Facebook about mice in the schools; while I can't confirm the accuracy, it's worth investigating. I've attached information for the Garfield Board of Health, and I'm re-evaluating the food menus. Despite promises to reduce sodium content in the new year, it seems to have increased. Next week's lunch is slated to contain 3,965mg of sodium, exceeding the state recommendation of 2,000mg. Please take the initiative as concerned parents for our children's health and send an email to the Board of Health (email provided below). If changes don't occur, consider making a call. I'll keep everyone updated and provide contact information for further action if necessary.
For individuals with ANY health concerns: Garfield doesn't collaborate with the Bergen County Board of Health; instead, they are affiliated with a company named Mid Bergen Regional Health. If you have any health-related issues, please contact Halina Dabrowski at hdabrowska@garfieldnj.org. In case further assistance is needed, reach out to James Fedorko at 201-599-6299 ext. 4450, with the main number being 551-946-5201.
