Meeting with the school and follow-up

Hi everyone,
A quick update on the school meals petition.
I have just received a call from the school and have been invited to meet with Mr Viz next Thursday to discuss the concerns raised through the petition in more detail.
The school is also arranging individual meetings with parents who have contacted them directly about the same issue. So, if you have emailed the school regarding school meals, you may also be contacted.
My understanding is that this forms part of the school’s process of gathering feedback and understanding the concerns before a further meeting is arranged with the catering company. I understand there is then expected to be a meeting involving parents, the School Leadership Team and representatives from the catering company to discuss the issues and possible improvements.
I think it would be helpful for us to form a small parent working group/party to take part in that discussion. This would allow a range of parents’ experiences and perspectives to be represented and help us coordinate the key points we would like raised, while keeping the discussion constructive and focused on practical improvements.
At my meeting with Mr Viz next Thursday, I will represent the concerns raised through the petition. Please let me know if there are any additional points or specific issues you would like me to raise.
Also, if you would be interested in being part of the parent working group and potentially attending the future meeting with the school and catering company, please let me know . We may create a separate WhatsApp group for those who would like to participate so that we can coordinate our feedback and response. You may contact me at a.artino86@gmail.com
The school may also want to understand whether the petition signatures are from parents/carers connected with the school. If they ask for any information regarding signatories and ensure are genuine. Please let me know if you have any concerns about sharing the names of those who signed the petition with the school.
Finally, please feel free to share this update in other class or year-group chats so that parents who supported the petition are kept informed and have the opportunity to contribute.
Thanks again everyone for your support and for helping us approach this constructively.
