Submit your question or comment on STIP U-5976 (NCDOT project number for the Circle) here.  Be sure to include "STIP U-5976" so NCDOT knows what you have to say is about Our Circle.

Last summer NCDOT announced they would reexamine the design for the Circle in response to overwhelming public opposition to the Continuous Flow Intersection proposal. Since then, no word on what DOT intends to actually do to the Circle.  For example, will the iconic Midland Road entrance to Pinehurst be closed?

However, NCDOT recently announced an open comment period on their long range State Transportation Improvement Program for 2026 to 2035, and it's a good place ask questions and provide input on any project in the state. You can ask questions like "What are you going to do to the Circle under STIP U-5976?" and "When will we see what you have in mind?"

The public comment period is open through this Friday, April 4, 2025.
