FS23-0552 was denied the rezoning request by the P&Z Commission, but final decision rests in the City Council's hands. 

We have some news to share after yesterday evening’s Planning & Zoning meeting for the rezoning application for the area on the NE corner of 163rd Avenue & Jomax Road. There were two votes that took place with the P&Z commission, one motion was made to approve the rezone request. This first motion failed with 4 votes as not in favor, and 3 votes in favor. The second motion was to deny the request for rezoning the area, which was ratified by a vote of 5 in favor of denying the rezoning, 1 against the denial, and 1 abstaining. 

The battle has been won, but the war is not over. There will be a discussion & vote at the City Council level. We need everyone who can to show up and fill City Hall. We need people to volunteer to address the council in the call to the public section on this. A link below is for a Google Form to sign up to show up and/or speak on the issue. Once we have a final date for the council session this will be discussed in thegrandfailure.site will send out a calendar invite (coming from the email address thegrandfailureaz@gmail.com) and ensure that a link is shared to submit your request to address the council.

We cannot let up and we cannot allow the city to risk our health, our safety, and our sanity any longer. Stand up & speak out!
