I met with Mr. Roker, Mr. Gallo, and Ms. Moscoso (chief executive officer, chief of facilities, and chief operating officer) on Thursday, September 14 and presented this petition to them. As a result of our discussion, the administration released the independent engineering report describing the condition of the garage (poor) and disclosed that funds have been obtained for a complete resurfacing of all parking decks in 2024. Potholes will be repaired immediately. There will be consultation with all affected departments to discuss eliminating all reserved parking spaces and making parking first come, first served. The issue of overcrowding of the garage is more difficult to remedy because monthly spaces have already been sold beyond the capacity of the garage, but the garage may become employees-only in the future. Mr. Roker sent an email with all of these details and a copy of the engineering report to the leadership in the Department of Medicine. We will await results from these commitments.
