Installation of Stop Signs on Santa Rita Blvd at the Intersection of Santa Rita Blvd and Mirabeau Way to Make It a Three-Way Stop
To: Williamson County Commissioners, County Engineer Adam Boatright, and Relevant Traffic Safety Authorities
We, the undersigned parents, guardians, residents, and community members, respectfully request the immediate installation of stop signs on Santa Rita Blvd at the intersection of Santa Rita Blvd and Mirabeau Way, in front of Santa Rita Elementary School in Liberty Hill, Texas, to make it a three-way stop.
This intersection experiences heavy traffic during school arrival and dismissal times. The current lack of stop signs poses a significant safety risk to students, families, staff, and pedestrians. Increased congestion, distracted driving, and reduced visibility make it difficult for drivers and walkers alike to navigate safely.
Our concerns include:
- Students crossing the street are at risk due to the absence of controlled traffic flow.
- Drivers often fail to slow down or yield, endangering children and pedestrians.
- The high volume of cars during school hours creates unsafe and chaotic conditions.
We believe that installing stop signs will:
- Slow down traffic and create a safer environment for students, families, and staff.
- Reduce the likelihood of accidents and injuries.
- Promote responsible driving habits within the school zone.
We urge the Williamson County Commissioners, County Engineer Adam Boatright, and relevant traffic safety authorities to take swift action by installing all-way stop signs at the intersection of Santa Rita Blvd and Mirabeau Way, making it a three-way stop.
The safety of our children and community must be a top priority.
Sincerely,
