Thanks to your incredible support, our petition to improve safety at the 6th Avenue and 2nd Street crosswalk near Herbert Spencer Elementary has now reached over 2,100 signatures! This strong community voice has helped move things forward — and we now have some important updates to share.

📣 The City of New Westminster has arranged a public information session to share the key findings and recommendations from their consultant’s road safety review.

This session was organized by Mike Anderson, P.Eng., MCIP, RPP, Manager of Transportation for the City of New Westminster, who has been working with the consultant and community to review safety concerns at this intersection.

This is an important opportunity for all of us — parents, students, neighbours, and community members — to learn what’s been found, ask questions, and continue pushing for meaningful safety improvements at 6th & 2nd.
