Hinjawadi, Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park, a large tech and business park spread over 2,800 acres, which was built by the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation, has offices of over 800 companies. Hinjewadi,a place known for its rapidly expanding IT park and rising population. But, like myself, many of my neighbors and fellow citizens face a common, distressing problem that disrupts our daily lives. The poor quality of road construction in our area is causing undue suffering to us all, especially to unsuspecting drivers and pedestrians. 

Potholes and uneven surfaces are common sights on our roads. This substandard state of our infrastructure not only makes daily commutes arduous but also poses potential safety issues. According to the National Crime Records Bureau, in 2022-23, there were 151,113 accidents in India due to poor road conditions, resulting in a considerable amount of fatalities and even more nonfatal injuries (NCRB, Automative Reseach Association of India, World Road Statistics). 

The local government has a responsibility to provide safe and durable roads for the people of Hinjewadi. We can no longer bear the inconvenience and safety risks that come with the current status of our roads. For the safety and welfare of the entire community, we urge the local government to enforce stricter road construction quality standards in our area.

We deserve roads that are well-constructed, maintained, and made safe permanently for everyone because More than 38858 IT engineers using these roads and routes every day to commute and are paying taxes to government every year apart from individual tax payment by companies aswell.
