I, like many others in Dublin, am personally affected by the current state of our public transportation. The quality of my life and that of others is significantly impacted. We are often late for appointments, work, and school due to unreliable transport services. It's not just about inconvenience; it's about how this issue affects our daily lives and productivity.

Dublin is a bustling city with a population of over 1.3 million people (Central Statistics Office Ireland). Yet, the public transportation system does not meet the needs of its residents adequately. Delays are frequent and services are often overcrowded during peak hours.

The improvement of public transport in Dublin is not only essential for convenience but also for environmental reasons. According to Sustainable Energy Authority Ireland (SEAI). 
The Goverment ask people to use more public transport, but if this Does not change, what the goverment is asking, makes no sense. 

Dublin has mainly one company in charge of the buses in the city, and this one is Dublin Bus, a company that has been fined many times by the goverment, but even after these fines the service Did not improve. This comapany at the same time has a lot of complaints relating to the attitude of bus drivers, as they are in general very rude.

We urge the local government and relevant authorities to take immediate action towards improving the reliability, frequency, and overall quality of public transportation in Dublin.
The capital of Ireland receives a large amount of tourists all year, and one of the most important things (bus transport) has not improved at all. In the last twenty years the port tunnel development has been the only major transport infrastructure to give any benefit to the traffic in Dublin.
