below is the email that I have received today from Michael Regans office

Good afternoon Kylie and all,
(Also cc’ing Phil Corbett, Northern Beaches Council traffic committee representative for Davidson electorate, and Sean Moran, Senior Electorate Officer at the Wakehurst Electorate Office)
Thanks for bringing this incident to our attention. I spoke to representative on the Northern Beaches Council traffic committee, Acting Sergeant Adam Castleden, for further information. Acting Sergeant Castleden sent me the below (in italics) incident summary, and advised this was fine to send to constituents:
At about 11:10am on Sunday the 20th of August 2023, Vehicle 1 was travelling in a southerly direction along forest way. Vehicle 1 has come to a stop in an attempt to turn right onto Glen street in lane 3 of 3. In order to proceed turning right, Vehicle 1 has entered the intersection whilst having a green light but in doing so has not given way to oncoming traffic. Vehicle 1 has collided with Vehicle 2 that was travelling north along forest way, which also caused a collision with Vehicle 3 which was directly behind Vehicle 2.
This collision has caused Vehicle 1 to roll onto its side after collision, Vehicle 1 came to a rest on forest way.
Independent witness confirmed that Vehicle 1 had not given way to oncoming traffic when turning right into Glen Street.
Minor injuries sustained to the driver of Vehicle 1.
Please be advised that Michael Regan, member for Wakehurst, is highlighting the urgency of this situation, and raising the suggestion of a pedestrian overpass over Forestway, approx. 50m south of this intersection (per your petition), to the Roads Minister.
Please also be advised that, after discussions with Phill Devon from Northern Beaches Council about seven traffic accidents at that intersection in the last few years (including this one), I (as the Northern Beaches Council traffic committee representative for the Wakehurst electorate), have requested there be an agenda item in the next monthly council traffic committee, that “Northern Beaches Council formally request Transport NSW to investigate measures to improve safety at the corner of Forest Way and Glen St, Belrose”. (Phill Devon has advised this is fine to let constituents know of this agenda item).
I will keep you informed of progress on the above discussions.
Kind Regards,
Sally Claydon
