The corner of Hope and Poppasquash is an intersection with heavy traffic (cars, trucks, motorcycles, and pedestrians!). Its the only access point for the peninsula, it has access to Colt State park, and Route 114 being a major thruway - there is non-stop car traffic. But it also has foot traffic including the East Bay bike path, Silver Creek (park and rehabilitation home), Guiteras Elementary School, bus stops, and restaurants.

There are many cross walks along Hope Street closer to town, but this very busy intersection remains unmarked. The closest crosswalk is 1/4 of a mile away. It is very dangerous and needs a solution before someone gets injured. There was already a fatal accident on the bike path on Poppasquash. It's time for prevention!
