Improve Living Conditions for Government Housing Tenants in New South Wales

Improve Living Conditions for Government Housing Tenants in New South Wales
The issue
I'm a resident of government housing in New South Wales, living each day amidst deplorable conditions that no human should endure. My personal experience, tragic and unacceptable as it is, is not an isolated one. Numerous individuals subjected to the same abysmal treatment and conditions, raise their voices alongside mine. Multiple discussions with fellow tenants confirm the appalling living conditions we've been subjected to.
There seems to be a systemic issue here that calls for immediate attention. According to the 2016 census, there are approximately 150,000 public housing dwellings in New South Wales (Source: Australian Bureau of Statistics). If our collective voice is any measure, a considerable number of these are potential sites for human rights violations, as we continue to live in distressing conditions.
This discrepancy between the housing conditions that we deserve and those that we are provided needs to be addressed urgently. The state government, responsible for our safety and well-being, should create a channel for effective and transparent communication for housing residents. Further, it is necessary to establish a regulatory body to rectify these systemic issues, ensuring that our fundamental human rights are upheld and respected.
Join me in urging the New South Wales Government to immediately improve the living conditions for government housing tenants. Let's demand a collective voice for all residents and a fair, just, and humane treatment. Please sign this petition and help create a safe and dignified living space for each one of us.
