The Issue

Upon moving into the townhomes at RIVERVIEW TOWNHOMES in Halethorpe, MD just 2 1/2 months ago, I was immediately confronted with an unsettling reality. I discovered that my new abode was infested with mice, evidenced by the distressing presence of their droppings throughout the unit. Despite numerous attempts to remedy the situation, the problem persists, posing significant health risks and diminishing the quality of life. There are holes in the lining of the carpet in the walls that I had to personally cock with Brillo padding the vents are not secure it looks like a underground trailing I have holes under the staircase that I've witnessed mice jumping in. Maintenance must be advised to painted over anything and everything after each move out looks like no fixing just bandaging. Even after putting in service requests I don't know what management are telling maintenance but maintenance comes with partial idea of what they're supposed to be doing even after your service request is detailed and has pictures and information of what needs to be done they leave and come back to 3 hours later obviously I'm not sitting home all day so I would be partially serviced and I don't get a call back or they don't come back so I have to put another service request in or I'll try to fix the issue myself which is really unsettling that this is the reality and I'm paying over 1500.. but battling the safety and healthiness of my living situation is real upsetting and they're crying about $100 utilities and taxingly fees on me even though my rent is paid. What's even crazier to me is my first full month of being here I would be constantly calling talking to management about my issues ongoing issues and they will Express how they care and how they understand but not show it for me to constantly be on your ass daily. It shows the lack of empathy, it shows more than words can explain especially off my initial first day move in the amount of feces that I seen all over the place right after maintenance and everyone came to check the unit they still proceeded to give me the key with foul odor feces and all I got was this is unacceptable maintenance will be by at one that was it that was all how can you really care and understand what someone's going through and not show that. It's been proven to me over and over again after having conversation and dealings that I cannot talk to management anymore it's escalated to starting this petition and getting an attorney to help me with either ending my lease or figuring out alternative options.

PEOPLE IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD DO NOT HAVE WORKING AC STILL !!

It is not just my home that suffers from these conditions; many fellow residents have voiced similar complaints about severe pest issues and other maintenance neglects. This is an alarming and untenable situation that requires urgent attention. As a community, we deserve a safe, healthy, and comfortable living environment, free from the perturbations of pest infestations and inadequate property management.

Mice and other pests are not merely nuisances; they are carriers of diseases which can cause significant health problems. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), rodents can spread over 35 diseases worldwide directly through contact with feces, urine, and bites, and indirectly via ticks, mites, or fleas that have fed on infected rodents. This statistic underlines the urgency of addressing the pest issues without delay.

Residents have the right to a living space that upholds basic health and safety standards. This petition is a call to action to MMG management, RIVERVIEW TOWNHOMES in Halethorpe, MD to implement comprehensive pest control measures and regular maintenance checks to ensure safe living conditions.

We urge local authorities, health departments, and tenant associations to step in and advocate for us. We need an immediate inspection and assessment of the current conditions followed by an appropriate action plan that includes thorough pest extermination services and ongoing property upkeep.

BALTIMORE COUNTY COMPLAINT 311; closed code of enforcement cases without doing inspections or giving reason why the do not see any violations !!!!!

Please join me and fellow residents in demanding a livable and secure environment in our Halethorpe homes. Your support is crucial in compelling the management to take responsibility for the residents' welfare. Sign this petition to help us reclaim our right to a safe and pest-free home. We are calling out MMG PROPERTIES & BALTIMORE HEALTH DEPARTMENT.
