The long-standing plight of residents and commuters of Holiday Village Road (HVR) was featured in the Times of India yesterday, bringing much-needed visibility to the hazardous conditions we’ve been enduring daily.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to journalist Pearl D’Souza for covering this issue and amplifying our voices. Her article sheds light on the broken, dusty, and dangerous stretch that poses serious health risks, leads to frequent accidents, and makes daily commuting a nightmare for thousands of us.

From respiratory problems due to constant dust, to unsafe travel—especially for children and the elderly—the condition of HVR is unacceptable. The absence of basic infrastructure like footpaths and streetlights only adds to the risks.

We urge all residents to continue raising their voices, and we’ll be stepping up collective efforts to ensure BBMP and other authorities take swift and effective action.

Let’s stand together to demand the road—and respect—we deserve.
