The Village of Bluffton and Ohio Department of Transportation will be scheduling a meeting with “interested parties” to discuss the need for additional traffic controls at the intersection of Main and College. This is our opportunity to say "yes" to pedestrians and "no" to aggressive driving. Currently, most drivers ignore pedestrians and fail to yield at these crosswalks. Additional measures, such as flashing white or red beacons, need to be added to this important location near our schools, businesses, library, and athletic facilities. Share the Road --Bluffton, Ohio is asking nearby businesses as well as the Lions Club, chamber, university, hospital, public library, and PTO to stand up for pedestrian safety and rights. To send a representative to this meeting or write to the Village of Bluffton and ODOT in support of pedestrian freedom in our downtown and school zone, email: Jamie Mehaffie, mehaffiej@bluffton-ohio.com Kirk Slusher, kirk.slusher@dot.state.oh.us You support can make a dramatic difference right now--while we have the attention of these decision makers. If you have any questions, email Paula Scott at pyzikscott@roadrunner.com.
