Hello Boulder County Parents:

We are a third of the way to our goal of 1,000 signatures on the BVSD Advisory Petition. I'm speaking with the Chair of the BVSD Board of Education this coming week. This petition asks BVSD to pilot an advisory program, which is a regular time during the school week when students meet in small groups with a trusted advisor. 

These spaces help students feel better and learn better. They are critical for helping students process feelings around events like the lockdown that happened this past week. And advisory is the norm in schools around the nation. It's time for BVSD to do the same.
