Hello everyone,

Apologies for the delay since the last update, it has been a very busy time for me personally these past few weeks.

On May 31st, I had my presentation to City Council. Here is a link to the City Council meeting. After a positive reaction from all City Council members and the Mayor, the City elected to move adding bike infrastructure to the capital plan (which bike infrastructure and maintenance wasn't a line item on) through their Finance and Audit Department. Their decision to refer it to Finance and Audit  was unanimous! They had also mentioned that I will be kept in the loop of future projects should they start.

This is a great step in the right direction to making sure that Prince George will become a more cycle-able city. The Finance and Audit Department will take some time, so be sure to keep your foot on the pedal and make sure that the City knows we aren't going away.

My petition will not "declare victory" until there is a concrete plan in place, and bike lanes are starting built by the City, so please feel free to continue to share this petition around to friends, family, loved ones, and others.

The approval by City Council is the first step in a the process, and I look forward to more action on these lanes in the future.
