I am a proud resident of Beveridge and love living in our small town, However, the rapid growth in our population has created a significant concern regarding our existing road infrastructure. 

Despite this rapid growth, Beveridge's road infrastructure hasn't seen significant improvements in the last two decades. 

This direct disparity between community growth and infrastructure development is, naturally, a significant cause for concern. It affects our quality of life, jeopardises safety, and will hinder economic growth, hampering proposed initiatives like the new Coles supermarket and future housing developments.

Our roads were not designed to handle such usage, leading to traffic congestion, longer commute times, damage to vehicles, frequent road accidents/near misses, and blatant safety risks.

According to Victoria's Department of Transport, local residents, and visitors alike have reported dangerous potholes and ridges, washaways/erosion, poor visibility at intersections, and generally unsafe conditions for drivers, pedestrians and cyclists. 

Inaction is simply not an option if we wish to maintain quality of life while supporting sustainable growth.

We the undersigned hereby petition the relevant authorities to effect urgent, necessary upgrades to Beveridge's road infrastructure. This action will not only ease the current strain but will also accommodate the anticipated population growth & additional traffic.
