My personal experience working at a veterinary practice opened my eyes to the distressing consequences of walking dogs in excessive heat. Daily, helpless dogs were brought in with heat exhaustion, severe dehydration, and in some cases, irreversible damage impacting their quality of life. This is an urgent call to take action and establish a deterrent against such harmful actions.

Hot pavements can cause burns and scarring as well. Pet owners mostly are not aware of these facts and unwarily risk their pets lives. 

We need local authorities to effectuate rules, impose fines and punishments to owners who walk their pets under soaring temperatures. It is necessary to ensure that owners walk their dogs during the cooler parts of the day to mitigate the potential harm to the dogs.

 This can also reduce Vet appointments needed and valuable Vet time, which can be open for other pets that may need care.

Let's work together to enforce these regulations and protect our beloved pets from avoidable injuries. I strongly believe that the implementation of this rule can make a significant difference.
