The people of the United States deserve to be represented. However, some elected officials are instead taking away the rights of women, disabled people, the LGBTQ+ community, and other minority groups. As we all know, these government officials are chosen by the people. However, some of them are taking advantage of there being no term limit for their positions! It makes no sense that only the President of the United States should have a limit on how long they serve.

Governors like Greg Abbott and Ron DeSantis are infringing on my rights, and I am tired of it. They will not stop at making abortion illegal; they're coming for LGBTQ+ rights, interracial marriages, and more afterwards. They're going to try to turn the clock back to our darker parts of history: before Stonewall, before civil rights, and before women's' suffrage, unless we can stop them from being elected again.

And this isn't only about governor positions. This petition will encompass all elected government officials, including Congress, the Supreme Court, governors, and more. 

Our nation runs on the consent of the governed. And I do not consent to my rights being taken away. Please consider signing if you also want to keep your rights.
