I am continually grateful for the support SaveTheBees has received since it was founded in 2014. We are able to remain dedicated to rescuing bee colonies, raising awareness about the dangers of toxic pesticides and the threat of mass produced imported honey to Australian bee populations thanks to the support of friends like needessentials. Its founder Ryan Scanlon approached me around seven years ago with a concept to partner in an all-natural zinc for sun protection where the main ingredient is bees’ wax. He added SaveTheBees Zinc as a needessentials Giving Back product and from then on has donated all profits generated from zinc sales to help:
create hives for colonies we save;
run free bee education sessions in schools and kindergartens;
purchase technical equipment to provide on-line learning sessions for students from our bee sanctuary.
We are proud of what Save The Bees has achieved up until now including: contributing to the removal the Chinese blended “honey” Allowrie and the insecticide Confidor from supermarket shelves; our contribution to the community movement that forced Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula Council to cancel a devastating insecticide spraying program; and contributing to the movement that caused Noosa Shire Council to backflip and lift its ban on backyard beekeeping.
This summer buy some Save The Bees zinc for yourself and your friends. It is made in Australia’s Byron Bay hinterland from all natural ingredients including Beeswax, Non Nano Zinc Oxide, Organic Olive Oil, Organic Coconut Oil, Organic Raw Cacao Powder & Cacao Butter and has been tested in the harshest environments by surfers and is proven to provide natural sun protection without putting harsh chemicals into the ocean or onto your own body.
All the profits from Save The Bees zinc sales will help us continue to be a voice for bees who keep this planet alive.
