After years of losing billions in litigation  Bayer has said it will remove Roundup from store shelves by 2023.

The agrochemical giant announced it will replace its controversial herbicide with products that don’t contain glyphosate (the main ingredient in Roundup), but at this stage  only for American consumers. Unfortunately Farmers will still be in danger and allowed to spray the carcinogenic poison on food.

Monsanto has lost three out of three previous trials, with a jury in the last trial – held in 2019 – ordering a staggering $2 billion in damages due to what the jury saw as egregious conduct by Monsanto in failing to warn users of evidence – including numerous scientific studies – showing a connection between its products and cancer.

Numerous studies now show glyphosate residues in everything from breast milk , honey , drinking water and organic wine.

With litigation occurring in both Europe amd Australia it is hoped a global ban isn’t to far away.
