ALLEGED TAKE & DESTRUCTION OF WILDLIFE – DIXONS CREEK (Paul Range State Forest)

The Conservation Regulator is seeking information about two male offenders allegedly involved in taking and destroying wildlife.

On Thursday 11th February, the first male offender was recorded on a camera in the Paul Range State Forest. He was in possession of two bird species and a rifle.

The first male offender is perceived to be South-East Asian in appearance and aged in his late twenties to early thirties.

One of the birds is believed to be a Powerful Owl, Australia’s largest Owl species. Powerful Owls are endangered in Victoria.

On Thursday 18th February, a second male offender was recorded at the same location, carrying a rifle and black backpack.

The second male offender is perceived to be South-East Asian in appearance and aged in his forties or fifties.
