Unfortunately some of our native flowers are being grown overseas and then imported for sale here in Australia.
I don’t agree with it. I believe it’s a way to make money off cheap labour and some unethical practices.
Imported flowers that come to Australia are dipped in round up if they can be propagated and fumigated with methyl bromide causing skin and eye irritation and even potentially cancer.
I don’t believe this is safe for florists, workers or consumers and want the practice to change. I also don’t believe we need to import natives!! We have the perfect for conditions to grow right here at home.
