Adopt an Australian Indigenous Bee this Christmas
Bee the Cure are now offering you an opportunity to adopt an Indigenous Bee! By adopting a Bee you are making a positive and influential contribution to the Global Bee crisis! Australia has over 2000 species of indigenous bees many of which are yet to be identified. These bees are under threat from pesticide use, land clearing, and bushfires.
We at Bee the Cure are proud of our effectiveness. We have saved millions of bees from extermination, pressured corporations into removing bee-killing pesticides and unethical products for sale but think more can be done to highlight the plight of indigenous bees. Money raised will fund bee rescues, research, lobbying, education, and public resources.
We are organising communication between native bee scientists and indigenous communities in WA to discuss how to best to protect our unique species. Little research has been done on the effect of pesticides or bushfires on native bees or the effectiveness of native bees pollination abilities. Furthermore, we want to increase the resources we put into native bee education given honey bees often overshadow these native pollinators given their monetary value. Every species has a right to survive regardless of the income they generate for humanity. That is why we include a strong focus on educating the public and the next generation as well as advocating for these important Australian bees.
By adopting a bee you are directly apart of the solution. For $10 you can receive a paperless adoption kit, a perfect gift in time for Christmas. For $25 we will mail you your kit inclusive of postage, however, we cannot guarantee arrival in time for Christmas.
