The current five-day school week can be stressful and tiring for both students and teachers. Research has shown that a shorter school week can lead to improved student performance, increased teacher morale, and cost savings for the district (source: National Education Association). By implementing a three-day weekend in the Denton Independent School District, we could potentially see these benefits come to life in our own community. This change would not only improve the quality of education but also enhance work-life balance for all involved.
