Implement the Haunted Mansion Holiday Overlay at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom

The Issue

We, a Miami-based family, are avid fans of Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom in Orlando. However, we have been longing to experience the iconic Haunted Mansion Holiday overlay, which is currently exclusive to Disneyland in California. Due to restrictions and the distance, this has been an impossible dream for us.

Every year, Disneyland transforms the Haunted Mansion attraction into a 'Nightmare Before Christmas' theme. The overhaul not only includes exterior decorations but also changes the ride itself entirely. The Haunted Mansion Holiday begins in late September and runs through early January since its installation in 2001. Unfortunately, despite its popularity, this transformation has remained exclusive to Disneyland.

By signing this petition, we call on Walt Disney World to bring the same thrilling experience to its Florida counterpart. Sharing this joyous holiday adventure with more Disney enthusiasts would undoubtedly magnify the magic that Disney is known to create.

Ever since I was young, Walt Disney World has held a special place in my heart. It’s where the magic feels real, where families come together, and where unforgettable memories are made. One of my all-time favorite attractions has always been The Haunted Mansion. There’s just something about the eerie yet whimsical world inside that keeps drawing me back—no matter how many times I ride, it always feels like stepping into a storybook of ghosts, mystery, and fun.

But there’s one version of The Haunted Mansion that I’ve never had the chance to experience for myself—Haunted Mansion Holiday at Disneyland. Every year, I hear about how the mansion transforms into a breathtaking The Nightmare Before Christmas wonderland, with Jack Skellington and his friends from Halloween Town taking over. The idea of seeing the iconic mansion infused with festive magic, glowing with jack-o’-lanterns, Christmas lights, and a giant, eerie gingerbread house is something I can only dream about.

What makes this dream even more special is my son. He is absolutely obsessed with The Nightmare Before Christmas. Jack Skellington is his hero, and every year when the holidays roll around, we rewatch the movie together, singing along to every song. He loves both Halloween and Christmas, and the idea of seeing them combined inside The Haunted Mansion is something he talks about constantly.

But the truth is, we may never get to Disneyland to experience this overlay for ourselves. That’s why I’m asking for your support in bringing Haunted Mansion Holiday to Walt Disney World. Imagine how many families like ours—who adore both The Haunted Mansion and The Nightmare Before Christmas—would finally get to experience this seasonal transformation right here in Orlando. It would bring new excitement to a beloved ride, offer a fresh experience for returning guests, and create even more magical memories during the holiday season.

Disneyland guests have been able to enjoy this spectacular overlay for over 20 years—why can’t we have the same opportunity at Walt Disney World? If you agree that it’s time to bring Haunted Mansion Holiday to the Most Magical Place on Earth, please sign and share this petition.

Let’s make our voices heard and bring Jack, Sally, and the magic of Halloween Town to Orlando! 🎃🎄👻

#BringHauntedMansionHolidayToWDW

Please sign and share this petition to let Disney know that we would like the chance to commemorate the holiday season with our favorite grim, grinning ghosts in a merry new way. The Magic Kingdom in Orlando deserves its own Haunted Mansion Holiday overlay.
