As a concerned father, I am initiating this petition to protect our children from the monstrous acts of child abusers, pedophiles, and sex traffickers. These individuals rob our precious young ones of their innocence and cause incalculable physical, emotional and mental harm.

In our society, we value the safety and well-being of our children, yet the current punishments handed to these criminals do not seem to deter future offenses. The United Nations on Drugs and Crime reported in 2014 that human trafficking, of which a significant proportion are minors, is the third-largest international crime industry (behind illegal drugs and arms trafficking).

These deeply unsettling statistics urge us to call for stronger punishment: the death penalty for child abusers, pedophiles, and sex traffickers. Not as a means of revenge, but to provide a sturdy deterrent effect and to express our firm stand against such heinous crimes.
