On March 20th, I, along with Beatrice Culbertson and other supporters, presented this petition for surveillance cameras in special needs classrooms to the North Penn School Board. After announcing that my petition gained almost 900 supporters, I made a statement to the board highlighting the importance of implementing surveillance cameras in the special needs classrooms where a majority of the students are nonverbal or present with communication disorders, highlighting the vulnerability of this population.

We will continue to advocate for those who cannot advocate for themselves and strive for a safer and better quality education for all. Everyone deserves an equal opportunity to a great education regardless of their personal communication barriers. North Penn School District has offered us a follow up meeting to work together to take actionable steps towards this goal.
