The very definition of the word misogyny is the hatred of women. In a country that fights to protect the freedom of speech there are some vital aspects of our fundamental freedoms that have been overlooked--especially as women. The Canadian Charter Of Rights And Freedoms outlines the fundamental freedom of thoughts and expression. The Canadian Bill Of Rights outlines the freedom of speech to be included as a form of expression. The Charter Of Rights And Freedoms, section 15, outlines Equality rights. It states that every individual is equal before and under the law and has the right to the equal protection and equal benefit of the law without discrimination and, in particular, without discrimination based on race, national or ethnic origin, colour, religion, sex, age or mental or physical disability. Section 15 does not preclude any law, program, or activity that has as its object to improve of conditions of disadvantaged individuals or groups including those that are disadvantaged because of race, national or ethnic origin, colour, religion, sex, age, or mental or physical disability.
As it stands, the freedom of speech protects misogyny, also. How do we have a constitution that protects violent extremism against women in our country but tells us that we have the right for protection under the law? Do men have the fundamental freedom to perpetuate the violence against women with their misogyny? Men can openly talk about their ideal rape victims on the internet and  say things like, "dead women don't say no," and that is his fundamental freedom to express his hatred and perpetuate violent extremism? If women equally have the right to protection and equal benefit of the law, what is the law doing to protect women from such violent extremism? It really just seems like men are the ones benefiting from the law. Women just simply wanted an equal opportunity to play, and the government simply passed them the spare controller that wasn't plugged in. Don't be fooled, ladies. You are being bamboozled. Misogyny is hate speech and it is the type of violent extremism that leads to terrorism.
