I am a resident of The Preserve at Zephyr Ridge, and our community has been repeatedly threatened by the encroachment of the homeless population. Our safety and security have been compromised several times. This is not just about our comfort; it's about our right to live without fear in our own homes.

The Preserve at Zephyr Ridge is a peaceful community that welcomes everyone with open arms. However, we believe that everyone should respect the rights and privacy of others. Recently, there has been an increase in incidents involving homeless individuals invading private properties and causing disturbances. According to data from the U.S Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Florida has seen a 14% increase in homelessness since 2018.

We understand that homelessness is a complex issue that requires comprehensive solutions such as affordable housing, mental health services, job training programs among others. We urge management and local authorities not only to implement immediate security measures but also work on long-term strategies addressing homelessness.

We call upon the Rangewater Management to take immediate action by installing fencing around the community, increasing patrols in residential areas, installing surveillance cameras at key points, improving street lighting for better visibility at night and enforcing stricter penalties for trespassing on private property.
