June is Healthy Hips Awareness Month something that you know I am passionate about and dedicated to changing.
DDH isn’t just a broken bone. It’s not a simply fix for many. It affects thousands and thousands of babies, infants and children and teenagers around the world and many more adults who were never diagnosed and who live with constant pain and disability.
It might not be life threatening but it is life changing for many and hugely challenging.
On a personal note, I had my 13th surgery this week to try and fix my damaged hips - my hip dysplasia not being picked up till I was in my teens.
Over the next 30 days, I will be highlighting this condition in the hope it will help others and one day we hope this will finally be on the medical map.
Please continue to share and sign the petition. Thank you. Alice x
