Many have expressed their frustration and dissatisfaction about how they are compelled to engage in cross-play with cheats and impostors from different platforms like PC, Xbox, and PlayStation.

We love playing these games, immersing ourselves into the realms they open up for us. But, when gaming comes down to the division of users based on their ability to 'pay their way' versus those who can’t, then it's time for a change. The issue of cheaters is not new. In a report by Pixel Privacy, nearly 42% of online gamers admit to using cheat codes, thus ruining the essence of fair play.

Activision Blizzard, being one of the major vidogame companies globally, has the responsibility of ensuring a fair and equitable environment for its diverse player base, a responsibility accrued with a reported 390 million monthly active users in 2020, as per Statista.com. We partake in the games not just to win, but to enjoy the process of playing and competing fairly.

The petition at hand is to demand that Activision Blizzard amend their rank play cross play system, allowing players to have the choice to engage in cross-play with platforms of their own free will. No gamer should be shackled by the constraints of forced interactions with cheaters or expected to invest financially in order to achieve success in the game.
