Implement Passing Lanes on Highway 41 to Increase Road Safety

The Issue

I live in a community that has been deeply affected by the lack of road safety on Highway 41. Since moving here in 2014, there have been seven fatalities within just one kilometer of my house. This tragic number does not even account for the numerous accidents and deaths that have occurred up and down this highway.

Highway 41, located North East of Saskatoon, SK, Canada is a major route used by many people daily. The absence of passing lanes contributes significantly to the danger it presents for all who travel on it. The addition of passing lanes can reduce head-on collisions and improve overall traffic flow (source: Transport Canada).

The government needs to take immediate action to prevent further loss of life and injury. We urge them to prioritize the implementation of passing lanes on Highway 41 as an essential step towards improving road safety.

We cannot afford more lives lost due to inadequate infrastructure. It's time we make our roads safer for everyone who uses them.

Please sign this petition urging the local government in Saskatchewan, Canada to implement passing lanes on Highway 41 promptly.

Update! I am working with Mayor of Aberdeen, Ryan White and we have been in contact with our MLA, Bronwyn Eyre. Ryan and I are collecting information to present our case to the Ministry of Highways in the near future. Please continue to share our petition and if you have experience with Highway 41 and why passing lanes should be implemented please send your letter to reportclosecallson41@outlook.com

Thank you!
