Implement Option to Retain Older Layouts for iPhones that support iOS 18 and later

The Issue

This is a story that emerged from my experience as an iPhone XR user who recently updated to iOS 18. I loved the previous layouts before the update. I felt comfortable, familiar, and dare I say, it gave me an optimal vibe that incorporated utility and aesthetics. However, after the update, some of the vibrancy I enjoyed was changed, and I was left longing to return back. It's a sentiment not singular to me, as many iPhone users have expressed on various forums and social media platforms.

In this light, we are advocating for Apple to consider adding a new feature to iPhones that support iOS 18 and later. With this feature, users can opt to change the app layouts to look like older versions, while retaining the benefits of the current software version. Accordingly, apps such as Photos, Safari, and others would be able to revert to their classic layouts, offering a personalized and unique user experience. This option could be easily toggled on and off at any time users prefer, only necessitating the closure of apps before reopening for effect.

Apple has always prided itself on its innovative and user-centered approach. With over 1.5 billion active devices worldwide (Statista, 2020), adhering to the customer's voice is vital in retaining their leading position. Let's remind Apple of its pledge to place its users at the heart of its operations and make sure iPhone users worldwide can optimize their experience in the way they want.

Sign this petition to urge Apple to introduce an option allowing users to retain older layouts while on iOS 18 and later versions. Without having to jailbreak their iPhones, users can get the best of both worlds: latest updates and beloved layouts.
