Her joyous spirit and innocent curiosity can be detrimental in our area, where residents unfortunately do not adhere strictly to the street's speed limits. My daughter has survived numerous near-miss incidents due to her tendency to elope - a common behavior among 49% of children with autism according to a Pediatrics study. Thus, my heart cries out for your assistance. We humbly request the implementation of an Autism Child Area Stop Sign in our beloved Orange County town. Every sign can act as a reminder, thus raising awareness about Autism and potentially saving lives by slowing speeding drivers and preventing accidents. Let's help my butterfly and all other children with Autism to explore safely without the constant looming dread of a disaster.
