Losing friends and family to the toxic air of Delhi has been a heart-rending experience, and I cannot bear to see our city, once vibrant and full of life, now struggling under a cloud of pollution.

In 2020, as nations grappled with the Covid-19 pandemic, we witnessed an unexpected silver lining to the global crisis: a brief respite for our environment. During the lockdown, Delhi saw a remarkable improvement in its Air Quality Index (AQI) thanks to minimal vehicular and industrial activity. It was a demonstration of nature's incredible ability to heal itself when given a chance.

This petition calls for a temporary and complete shutdown of all institutions in Delhi, including offices, schools, colleges, factories, and other establishments. By minimizing the need for people to venture outside their homes, we can offer the environment a much-needed break to recover.
