On June 21st, 2022, the "conservative" justices unilaterally ruled in favor of private religious schools receiving state funds in Carson v. Makin - a clear violation of the separation of church and state.

The "conservative" justices on the Supreme Court of the United States of America have shown unequivocally that they are not capable of keeping their oath to uphold the constitution, or of being true to their word in regards to the commitments they made before congress during their respective confirmation hearings; in particular, their statements regarding Roe v. Wade being the established law of the land.

On June 24th, 2022, the "conservative" justices overturned the decades-long decision of Roe v. Wade, and subsequent precedent reaffirming case, Planned Parenthood v. Casey, which guaranteed a woman's right to chose to terminate a pregnancy before fetal viability outside of the womb; undoing 50 years of established precedent and throwing the country into an ideological divide. This will very likely result in further unrest at the capitol and elsewhere while US citizens protest and counter-protest this decision.

These "conservative" justices are: John G. Roberts, Jr., Clarence Thomas, Samuel A. Alito, Jr., Neil M. Gorsuch, Brett M. Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett. They are, without a shadow of a doubt, a threat to democracy and a threat to the safety and sanctity of our nation.

Only the "non-conservative" justices dissented in these rulings. They are: Stephen G. Breyer, Sonia Sotomayor, and Elena Kagan. They are the only voice of reason left in the SCOTUS.

With the Carson v. Makin decision, many of the "conservative-leaning" states, counties, and municipalities in the US will take this ruling as the go-ahead to funnel state and federal funds to religious private institutions; including those that have a history of discriminatory practices and on-the-record bigotry directed towards marginalized groups and citizens. Many states will likely need to amend or terminate legislation that allows for funding directed to private schools who cater to rural communities where public learning facilities are out of reach for the affected school-aged children.

These actions cannot be allowed to stand, and the current group of "conservative" SCOTUS justices must be impeached as soon as possible in order to avoid and prevent further erosion of the separation of church and state, the further erosion of a citizen's right to privacy and bodily autonomy, and the further decline of our established constitutional laws and precedents.

This petition calls on both houses of congress to act immediately to oust the "conservative" justices with extreme prejudice, and replace them with justices who understand the constitution, understand rule of law, understand established precedent, and understand that the United States of America is not a theocracy and that US citizens have no intention of ever letting it become a theocracy.
