Every day, I see how the decisions and actions of Donald J. Trump have caused harm and distress across the United States. As an American deeply concerned for the safety and well-being of my fellow citizens, I feel compelled to stand up and demand accountability. Many families no longer feel safe in their own communities. The economic policies, like tariffs, have disproportionately affected the 90% of Americans who are not wealthy, further exacerbating financial hardships for countless families.

In addition to these economic and safety concerns, Donald J. Trump has shown a repeated pattern of misuse of public office. There are serious allegations involving his unlawful enrichment and accepting foreign bribes. These fall under Illegal Gratuity (§ 201(c)) and 18 U.S.C. § 201. His association with Jeffrey Epstein and the disturbing accusations of his involvement in sex trafficking, rape, and sexual assault of young women and children are alarming and deserve a thorough investigation.

Moreover, the events surrounding the January 6, 2020 insurrection reveal a grave threat to our democracy. Trump has been accused of plotting this insurrection and aiding those who participated, thereby undermining the fabric of our democratic society. His actions extend beyond the borders with the illegal bombing of civilian fishing vessels, which violates international law and endangers innocent lives. Intentionally killing shipwreck survivors is considered murder under International humanitarian law, International human rights law, and Domestic criminal law. 

Furthermore, Trump has allegedly pressured the Department of Justice to redact his name and those of other Republicans from the Epstein Files. This obstruction of justice not only denies the survivors their rightful justice but also tarnishes the integrity of our legal system.

For the sake of justice, safety, and the truth, it is crucial to hold Donald J. Trump accountable for his actions. An investigation and subsequent impeachment for these alleged acts of misconduct, conversion of public funds, and other crimes are necessary steps to uphold the principles upon which our nation was founded.
