The Issue

We, the undersigned citizens of the United States of America, call upon Congress to take immediate and decisive action to impeach Donald J. Trump and permanently bar him from holding public office. He remains a grave threat to our democracy, the rule of law, and the core principles of our Constitution.

Donald Trump’s Violations Include:
Inciting the January 6th Insurrection, which attempted to overturn a lawful democratic election through violence and intimidation.
Misusing taxpayer dollars for personal gain, particularly through excessive trips to Trump-owned properties, which led to millions in public funds being funneled into his private business.
Violating the Emoluments Clause of the Constitution by receiving payments and benefits from foreign governments.
Obstructing justice during multiple federal investigations and repeatedly undermining the independence of law enforcement.
Deliberately spreading disinformation about COVID-19, election security, and government agencies, threatening public safety and trust.
These are not mere political missteps. These are acts of constitutional sabotage, and they demand real consequences. As Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. warned:

“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”
And as President John F. Kennedy once said:

“Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable.”
We also remind you of the foundational truth stated in the Declaration of Independence:

“But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.”
A Warning to Congress:
The American people are watching closely, and we will not forget inaction. When institutions fail to provide justice, people take it into their own hands — sometimes tragically and chaotically. Consider the cases of Luigi Mangione and Rodney Hilton Jr., private citizens who, feeling betrayed by a corrupt system, took drastic, violent actions in the name of “restoring justice.” These incidents are not endorsements — they are warnings. They are what happens when those in power refuse to act.

Every day Congress delays, the legitimacy of our government erodes. If we do not hold lawless leaders accountable now, we are complicit in inviting the next wave of authoritarianism.

If you will not protect democracy, the people will be forced to. Through organizing, through voting, through protest, and — as history has shown — through unpredictable and dangerous forms of civil unrest when peaceful remedies are denied.

We Demand:
The immediate impeachment of Donald J. Trump.
His permanent disqualification from future public office.
A clear message that no one is above the law in the United States of America.
Stand on the side of democracy. Do your duty. Or be remembered as those who let it fall.

Signed,
Concerned citizens of the United States
